update from Mrs H
Great news, Martha won the Western Speech finals and now goes onto the Northern/Western finals. We are all very proud of her.
Other class news is that we farewelled Tahi last Friday and tomorrow Tyrone will be leaving. We hope that they have a great time at their new homes and enjoy their schools.
Unfortunately Tahi arrived in Christchurch and has been involved with the earthquakes. She...

Rugby, Rugby and even more Rugby
We are hooked!!! What with the mighty stags defending all challengers to date, the All Blacks dominating and our successes in the virtual rugby competition we are feeling the love so to speak. As to date we have 89 points, 17 ahead of Max Foy and 18 ahead of Mr Witheford. We are being reminded that we need to be good winners and not gloat too much as the ITM Cup is only in it’s early...

We are studying Forces under the title of Push Me/Pull Me and we found this video which we really liked. We are going to have a go at making our own puzzle incorporating lots of different actions and reactions.
We will video them and pop them on our blog.

The time has come to send Crystal back to her owner/friend in San Deigo, USA. She has been with us for the past month and has gone to camp, been at school, into Invercargill shopping with Libby, visited Alyssa at University, went tramping in Fiordland and visited Neave in Timaru.
Mrs H's Easter Trip
Well, I survive the tramp out from Martin’s Bay. Actually I didn’t think that I couldn’t but… I was a lot slower than Dave and Alyssa.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t too nice on the Saturday which actually turned out to be a positive as we ended up flying in a helicopter from Milford Sound landing right outside the hut. So my first day of tramping involved me...

What a Start
What a start to the year we have had. Athletics, Butterflies,Tech etc to name a few, we have had a busy start. We are also setting up in our room our very own Mi Space and Fce Books.
Our Mi Space is a space on the class wall were we put our learning or whatever we do that we feel proud of to share with our classmates and visitors to our class. While our Fce Book is a scrapbook where we make a...

2010 has started with a bang. We are racing through term 1 with the start of week 4 upon us. This year Mrs H is really lucky to be teaching a great group of Year 6, 7 and 8 students. In fact there are 23 students, 15 boys and 8 girls (9 if you count me), 8 year 6’s, 5 year 7’s and 10 year 8’s. What a mixture!!
Our 1st Hi-five. We have just held our annual BeHaGs (Big Hairy...
